Fulham manager Marco Silva has urged Samuel Chukwueze to keep working hard if he hopes to secure a permanent move to Craven Cottage.
Chukwueze is currently on loan from Serie A side AC Milan, with the deal containing an option to buy worth around €23 million.
The Nigeria international is yet to start a Premier League match since his arrival but has contributed two assists in five appearances for the Whites.
Speaking ahead of Fulham’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, Silva said the 25-year-old must demonstrate greater consistency and intensity in training to earn a long-term stay.
“Too early, but of course we all recognise the quality that Chukwueze has,” Silva said.
“We want to see consistency in the way he performs, how he trains every single day, and then there’s the physical aspect of the Premier League.”
Silva added that Chukwueze needs to adapt fully to the demands of English football to force his way into regular starting duties.
