Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has sworn in five newly appointed Special Advisers, reaffirming his administration’s determination to move forward with renewed focus and reclaim lost ground.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara said his administration possesses the resilience and capacity required to deliver on its mandate to the people of Rivers State.
The governor explained that the appointments were strategically made to strengthen governance, enhance efficiency, and ensure the smooth operation of government. He noted that the appointees were not new to public service, stressing that their previous experience within government would enable them to quickly align with the administration’s philosophy and objectives.
According to Fubara, their familiarity with the system would help eliminate unnecessary delays in performance assessment and ensure that policy targets and development goals are achieved promptly.
He charged the new Special Advisers to approach their assignments with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment, warning that the positions should not be regarded as privileges but as a call to dedicated and selfless service.
Governor Fubara further noted that the appointees had distinguished themselves in past public assignments and expressed confidence that they would bring the same level of diligence and professionalism to their new roles.
He urged them not to disappoint the government or the people of Rivers State, emphasizing that their work would be critical to fulfilling the administration’s social contract with the citizens.
Those sworn in as Special Advisers are Eloka Tasie-Amadi, Peter Medee, Emmanuel Fubara, Victor Ekaro, and Darlington Oji.
