Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has filed a formal petition against filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop, accusing him of sustained defamation.
The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was submitted to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s legal representatives, Uche Okoro & Co. In the document, Leonard alleged that Ontop has persistently defamed his character for more than two years without provocation.
According to the petition, Leonard claimed that Ontop’s actions have portrayed him negatively to the public, thereby harming his reputation within and outside the film industry.
The actor made the development public on Monday morning by sharing a copy of the petition on his Instagram page. In a strongly worded caption, Leonard warned that he intends to pursue the matter to its legal conclusion.
“You have been served. The law will take its course to the full extent,” he wrote, adding that any claims or allegations must be backed with evidence. He further stated, “I’m coming for you.”
The move signals an escalation in the ongoing dispute between the two Nollywood figures, with the matter now set to be addressed through legal channels.
