The Togolese forward left the Sky Blue Stars at the end of the 2024/25 NPFL season, bringing an end to a successful two-year stint.
Mawuena was a key figure in Remo Stars’ title-winning campaign, registering nine goals in 44 appearances during his time at the club.
Remo Stars have already moved to reinforce their attack, announcing the arrival of Malian striker Adama Goita as Mawuena’s replacement.
