
Florence Okonkwo, popularly known as the Queen of the Red Carpet, has received the Entertainment Personality of the Year Award from the Disabled International Foundation (DIF) UK and Sierra Leone.
The recognition was presented during the foundation’s 25th anniversary silver jubilee celebration held in London, marking a milestone in its work across education, health, and food security.
Okonkwo, who attended as a special guest of honour, expressed gratitude for the award and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting DIF and similar organisations championing social change.
“It is truly inspiring to be part of this organization. I am grateful to be part of this award night that is filled with purpose, recognition, and celebration. Here are to many more years of progress and empowerment,” she said.
The event drew an array of distinguished guests and honourees, including Dr. Imambay Kamara, founder and president of DIF UK & Sierra Leone; Amb. The ceremony celebrated 25 years of DIF’s humanitarian impact and highlighted its ongoing mission to empower communities through sustainable initiatives.
