Business activities at Toi Market in Nairobi were disrupted on Monday after a massive fire broke out, destroying property worth millions and leaving traders watching helplessly as their goods went up in flames.
According to traders, the cause of the fire, which started at around 8 am, remains unknown. They also faulted fire response teams for taking too long to arrive at the scene, saying the delay worsened the losses.
Fire engines have since arrived and are working to contain the blaze.
