Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George says his team deserved their point after playing out a 0-0 draw against El-Kanemi Warriors in Sunday’s NPFL matchday three clash.
The Port Harcourt side remain unbeaten this season with one win and two draws.
“Overall, I think we’re quite happy with the result. The first half was 50-50. In the second half, particularly in the last 25 minutes, they pushed us back, and we had to defend while looking to play on the counter attack,” Finidi said after the game in Maiduguri.
The draw was Rivers United’s second away point of the campaign. They currently sit eighth on the NPFL table with five points from three matches.
