Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, has expressed confidence while cautioning that his side faces a demanding challenge in their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture against Bendel Insurance.
The Port Harcourt-based team will travel to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City for Thursday’s encounter, a match Finidi believes will test his squad’s resilience and quality.
Speaking ahead of the showdown, the former Super Eagles winger admitted the contest is likely to be intense but maintained that Rivers United are focused on securing a favourable outcome.
“It going to be a difficult game,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.
“We have always had a good result in the same fixture we are expecting to have a good result in the game, we know what is at stake in the game.”
Rivers United currently sit eighth on the NPFL standings with 16 points, and a positive result against the Benin Arsenal would provide a crucial boost to their campaign.
