The quarter-final fixtures of the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco have been confirmed following the conclusion of the Round of 16 matches on Wednesday.
Canada thrashed Zambia 6-0 to advance, while Japan cruised past Colombia with a 4-0 victory. Mexico edged Paraguay 1-0, and France beat Spain 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw.
The quarter-final matches will be played this weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
No African nation will feature in the last eight, as Nigeria, Morocco, and Zambia were all eliminated in the Round of 16.
