Enugu Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has officially resumed his club duties after returning from international assignment with the Nigerian national team. The young strategist served as an assistant coach for the Super Eagles throughout their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco.
Upon his return, Ilechukwu immediately spearheaded the Flying Antelopes’ final training sessions on Thursday as they prepare for their upcoming Matchday 22 encounter against Warri Wolves.
The club celebrated their manager’s arrival through an official social media announcement, highlighting the value of the elite experience he gained on the continental stage. During Ilechukwu’s absence, his backroom staff maintained the team’s competitive edge, but his presence provides a significant boost ahead of the second half of the NPFL season. Rangers currently occupy a strong position in the league standings and view the return of their head tactician as a vital factor in their push for domestic honors.
The Flying Antelopes host Warri Wolves this Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, popularly known as “The Cathedral.” Ilechukwu aims to leverage the tactical insights gathered in Morocco to secure a home victory and strengthen Rangers’ pursuit of the league title.
The club shared their enthusiasm via a public statement: “Our technical adviser returns from AFCON duty with Nigeria, bringing experience back home where it matters most.”
