“Today, I celebrate my 51st birthday with a heart full of gratitude and reflection,” the actor wrote. He dedicated the day to the late Bukky Coker, Gbenga Adenowo, and Omolara Obatolu, offering prayers for their families and acknowledging the impact of their passing.
Elliot also expressed appreciation for the support of family and friends, describing the occasion as a reminder to cherish loved ones and hold memories close. He thanked God for life, blessings, and enduring moments, accompanying the message with hashtags reflecting gratitude and reflection.

Born on February 4, 1974, in Lagos, Desmond Elliot began his career in television soap operas such as Everyday People, One Too Much, and Saints and Sinners. He later rose to prominence as one of Nollywood’s leading actors, featuring in over 200 films, including Men Who Cheat, Yahoo Millionaire, and 30 Days in Atlanta.
His work has earned him several major nominations, including an African Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2006, alongside multiple nominations at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Beyond acting, Elliot ventured into politics in 2014 and was elected under the All Progressives Congress to represent Surulere Constituency in the 2015 general elections.
