Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has set the record straight after speculation spread that he had secretly married.
The buzz began when the artist shared a series of traditional wedding-themed photos on social media. The images quickly went viral, leaving fans convinced they were from an actual marriage ceremony.
Addressing the matter on Instagram, Falz clarified that the pictures were from a creative photoshoot project, not his wedding.
He admitted that the public’s reaction amused him, joking that when he does eventually marry, people might not take him seriously.
“Everyone kept saying it was like the boy who cried wolf. Maybe when I finally do get married, nobody will believe it,” he said.
Falz also used the moment to emphasize his stance on privacy. He explained that while he values his personal space, he isn’t completely against sharing details about his life if love moves him to do so.
“It is bold of you to assume that if I’m actually getting married, I will share it,” he quipped.
With this clarification, the award-winning entertainer has made it clear: his fans may celebrate his music publicly, but when it comes to his private life, he decides what stays behind closed doors.
