Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has released details of the burial arrangements for her late mother, Mrs Gloria Uzoamaka Williams.
The actress shared a funeral flyer on Instagram, revealing that the family has opted for a private ceremony. According to the schedule, a wake will hold on Friday, March 6, followed by lying in state and interment. A Thanksgiving Mass is slated for Sunday, March 8, at St. Monica Catholic Church.
Ceremony by Invitation Only
Williams noted that attendance at the burial events will be strictly by designated invitation. She cautioned that entry into the venue would not be granted without an official invite from an authorised contact.
“For those who have asked for the burial details, the family has decided on a private ceremony strictly for close friends and relatives,” she wrote.
She added that a separate date would later be announced for a public ceremony to enable a wider circle of well-wishers to pay their respects.
“The Reality Hasn’t Fully Sunk In”
The actress recently lost her mother shortly before her 55th birthday celebration. In earlier tributes, she described her late mother as her cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend and confidant.
Expressing appreciation for the support she has received, Williams thanked fans, friends and colleagues for their calls, visits and messages of condolence.
“I’m truly grateful for the emotional support, the calls, the visits, and the show of love,” she said, offering prayers for those who have stood by her during the period of mourning.
The announcement has drawn further messages of sympathy from fans and members of the entertainment industry.
