Nollywood actress and filmmaker Etinosa Idemudia has expressed deep heartbreak after her movie, Secret Keeper, was removed from YouTube following a copyright complaint.
In an emotional Instagram post, Etinosa said the project represented years of imagination and months of intense work, noting that she invested her savings, energy, and creativity into the film.
She described the takedown as both shocking and painful, questioning why the complainant, identified as “Diamond Films”, would claim ownership of a project she insists they had no right to touch.
According to her, the notification from YouTube was “the most painful” message she has received in her career.
Etinosa wrote that Secret Keeper was far more than a video upload to her, calling it the product of “years of dreaming, months of work, sleepless nights, and everything I had to give.”
Despite the setback, she vowed to challenge the claim and restore the movie to the platform.
“I want you all to know this isn’t the end. I’m fighting to get our movie back,” she said, thanking fans and colleagues who alerted her to the issue and have supported her during the ordeal.
The actress assured supporters that she would not give up, promising that the film would return online.
“No matter how hard this gets, I won’t stop. This film will come back, so help me God,” she wrote.
