Enyimba interim head coach, Lawrence Ukaegbu, has pledged to guide the team back to winning ways following a recent technical reshuffle by the club management.
Ukaegbu was appointed on a temporary basis after the suspension of veteran tactician Stanley Eguma last week. The nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions will face Katsina United in a matchday 14 fixture in Katsina on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ukaegbu highlighted the players’ commitment to achieving a positive outcome. “The players have promised to work hard to get a good result against Katsina United,” he said in a pre-match interview. “We promised to bring joy to club supporters and also to bring discipline, togetherness and friendliness to make the team move forward.”
The interim coach is focused on restoring confidence and cohesion within the squad as Enyimba looks to maintain its stature among Nigeria’s football elite.
