Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique said his side’s second-half performance was the key to their 2-1 Champions League victory over Barcelona on Wednesday.
Ferran Torres gave Barcelona the lead at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys before 19-year-old Senny Mayulu equalised before half-time. Gonçalo Ramos struck late on to seal the win for PSG.
Enrique admitted Barcelona were stronger in the opening stages but insisted his side recovered well.
“It was an excellent match,” he told Movistar Plus.
“They were superior until they scored, but we recovered. Nuno made an incredible play. I think we were better in the second half. We played well and deserved the win.”
The result lifts PSG’s hopes of progressing after their opening group fixture. They face Lille in Ligue 1 this weekend.
