Former France star Emmanuel Petit has offered bold predictions ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League fixtures, backing Arsenal to claim a comfortable victory over Brentford and tipping Chelsea to secure three points away at Leeds United.
Speaking in an interview with Snabbare, the ex-Gunners midfielder forecasted a dominant performance from Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates Stadium, saying: “Arsenal must win at the Emirates [against Brentford]. I would probably say something like a 3-0 win.”
Petit also weighed in on Chelsea’s mid-week clash at Elland Road, acknowledging the difficulty of the fixture but expressing confidence in Enzo Maresca’s team. He added: “Leeds versus Chelsea is never easy, but I see Chelsea winning. Cole Palmer will score.”
Arsenal remain perched at the top of the Premier League table as they head into the encounter, while Chelsea sit in third place. Both London clubs are looking to bounce back from their 1-1 draw over the weekend, with crucial points on the line in the ongoing title race.
