Elon Musk criticised Sky News, accusing the outlet of publishing a “misleading” headline that wrongly implied his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
In a social media post, the Tesla and SpaceX chief dismissed the claims as baseless, saying he had refused Epstein’s invitation to visit his private island. Musk expressed outrage that his name was linked before Prince Andrew, who has publicly acknowledged visiting Epstein’s estate.
“Shame on Sky News for this utterly misleading headline. Anyone pushing this false narrative deserves complete contempt,” Musk wrote. “Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED, yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit.”
The billionaire’s remarks come amid renewed scrutiny over Epstein’s network of associates, following the release of fresh court documents earlier this year. Musk has long denied any personal ties to the disgraced financier, insisting his only encounters with Epstein were in large public settings.
