The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has urged Nigerians to actively participate in the fight against corruption, warning that its impact spares no one.
According to a statement shared on X on Tuesday, Olukoyede gave the charge on Monday when staff and students of Oloye Comprehensive College, Abuja, visited the EFCC headquarters on a study tour.
Speaking through the Head of Public Interface, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Tony Orilade, the EFCC chairman said the anti-graft fight was a collective responsibility that should involve every citizen, including young people.
“While we fight corruption, economic and financial crimes, we now place priority on prevention.
“Younger people like you will occupy this place tomorrow. Do everything to run away from any form of fraud because it is going to affect you as you journey in life,” he said.
He encouraged the students to form or join Integrity Clubs in their schools as part of their contribution to promoting honesty and accountability.
“Be part of anti-corruption groups. If there is no Integrity Club in your school, do well to form one and be part of it so that you can also be part of fighting corruption anywhere you find yourself,” he said.
