Edo Queens have strengthened their squad significantly after announcing the acquisition of seven new players for the 2025–26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) campaign.
The latest signings include Lucky Mary, Mary Offor Moses, Charlotte Adjei, Sunday Blessing, Doosur Atune Anastasia, Precious Oscar and Marilyn Essien. All seven players were officially presented by the former NWFL champions on Wednesday, marking a major step in the team’s preparations for the new domestic football season.
The Benin-based side is set to begin their quest to reclaim the NWFL title — which they surrendered to Bayelsa Queens last season — when they face the defending champions in the opening fixture of the 2025–26 campaign.
The upcoming season is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, November 26, with Edo Queens aiming to make a strong statement from the first whistle.
