Treble-winning legend Dwight Yorke has identified Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo as a transformative target for Manchester United, suggesting the Ghanaian forward possesses the rare quality needed to revitalize the Old Trafford attack. Following a stellar opening half of the 2025/26 Premier League season with the Cherries, Semenyo has reportedly signaled his readiness for a high-profile move during the current January transfer window.
In an exclusive discussion with PokerScout, Yorke argued that the 25-year-old currently stands as one of the most impactful performers in the division, particularly when evaluating his output relative to his current environment.
The former United striker believes Semenyo’s arrival would restore the sense of excitement that has historically defined the club’s wing play. Yorke drew direct parallels between the Bournemouth star’s explosive style and the legendary contributions of icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Ryan Giggs. “Antoine Semenyo is likely one of the best players, if not the best player in the Premier League right now based on what he’s doing, and when you consider the team he’s playing for. “For Manchester United, he used to get fans standing up, I believe he’s a really great player. Is he going to fit in there? What is he going to contribute to the United team? I think he can run with the ball up the field. I believe it would be a major step for the manager. Over the years, whenever United have played, they’ve had players who run the ball up the field and Semenyo can do that too. It has been very important for United’s success throughout the years.
