Governor Mikhail Evraev said a child was killed after a Ukrainian drone strike hit homes in the Yaroslavl region.
Russia’s Yaroslavl region governor, Mikhail Evraev, has said a child was killed following a Ukrainian drone attack that struck residential areas north east of Moscow.
According to Evraev, the child was inside a private home in a suburban district when the strike occurred. The child’s parents were seriously injured and have been hospitalised, while a woman in a neighbouring house also sustained injuries.
He added that all victims are receiving necessary medical care as authorities respond to the aftermath of the attack.
Evraev said Russian air defence systems repelled more than 30 Ukrainian drones targeting the region during the incident.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Defence Ministry reported that a total of 155 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight across multiple regions, including areas around Moscow.
Authorities say damage was recorded to several residential buildings as well as a retail facility, with assessments ongoing.
