Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has rejected claims by the founder of race Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, that some of her allegations against him were untrue, insisting she did not lie.
The response followed a public apology issued by the cleric on Sunday, during which he expressed remorse over the controversy involving the actress but stated that parts of her claims contained falsehoods.
Earlier, Ogala had accused Pastor Okafor of breaching a promise to marry her, an allegation that triggered a series of public disputes and further claims against the preacher. The matter escalated when the actress, through her legal representatives, Synergy Law Partners, issued a formal demand dated December 16, 2025, seeking ₦1 billion in compensation.
The controversy deepened earlier in the week after Okafor’s children reportedly made additional allegations, further drawing public attention to the dispute.
While addressing his congregation, Pastor Okafor apologised to Ogala and others he said he had wronged, acknowledging past mistakes and expressing willingness to make amends.
“To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past and I tender apologies to everybody. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said; however, I am saying sorry to everyone I have offended,” he said.
“To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologise. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended.”
Reacting to the apology, Ogala welcomed the gesture but took issue with the assertion that her claims were lies. In a post on her Facebook page, the actress maintained that her statements were truthful.
“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.
The dispute remains unresolved, with legal proceedings and public scrutiny continuing as both parties maintain differing accounts of the events.
