Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has responded strongly to remarks made by Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation International Ministry, after the cleric referred to her as “Jezebel” while withdrawing an earlier apology.
The latest exchange follows a prolonged public dispute between the actress and the pastor over an alleged past relationship.
Okafor had previously apologised to Ogala during a church service, asking for forgiveness over issues linked to their controversy. However, in a new video that surfaced online, the cleric reversed his stance and denied ever meeting the actress in person or offending her.
While addressing members of his congregation, Okafor said he knelt during the earlier apology out of respect for senior Christian leaders and the church, not because he had wronged Ogala.
“Let it be known, I knelt down because of those fathers of faith and the church. Not because of any Jezebel anywhere,” he said.
The comment quickly sparked a reaction from the actress.
In a post shared on Instagram shortly after the video began circulating, Ogala expressed anger over the remark and vowed to confront the pastor.
“Na me you call Jezebel? You don’t know who Jezebel be. Because I was pitying you. I will show you what Jezebel dey do,” she wrote.
The actress also shared a video message on her page, where she criticised the cleric and dismissed the earlier apology he offered.
Ogala insisted that the apology made in church was insufficient, adding that she expected a more direct act of remorse from him.
During the video, she further alleged that Okafor had previously acknowledged their relationship in a court document.
She also questioned his decision to retract the apology publicly after initially admitting fault.
The dispute between the actress and the cleric has continued to draw attention on social media, with the latest exchange adding another chapter to the ongoing controversy.
