Music producer and entrepreneur Don Jazzy has pledged N20 million in support of a new initiative aimed at equipping 10,000 Nigerian youths with laptops.
The initiative, called The Tech Access Project, was launched by X user Ayilola Ayotomiwa to empower young Nigerians with tools for tech, design, music production, and digital entrepreneurship.
In a post, Ayotomiwa explained the project’s mission: “Our vision is simple but powerful: to give young Nigerians, especially those passionate about tech and digital creativity, the tools they need to build their future. We are seeking support through sponsorships, partnerships, or amplification to reach 10,000 youths.”
Don Jazzy responded to the initiative on social media, describing it as “commendable” while acknowledging the scale of the project. He confirmed his support with a N20 million contribution and a social media repost, urging other Nigerians to help achieve the goal.
“Bro I hail o. Your initiative is commendable. But sir, 10,000 laptops is not beans. At this time, I can only afford to support with N20 million and a repost. Hopefully, some other well-meaning Nigerians can help achieve the goal,” he wrote.
The Tech Access Project seeks to provide young Nigerians with the equipment and resources necessary to learn, create, and earn through technology and creative industries, bridging gaps in digital access and skill development.
