Music producer and Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has declared that his former signee, Wande Coal, has the best vocals in the Nigerian music industry.
The veteran producer made the statement during an interactive session with fans on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
A fan had complimented Don Jazzy, describing his voice as the best and most distinct in the industry. In response, the Mavin boss agreed that his voice stands out for its uniqueness but credited Wande Coal as the superior vocalist.
“Most unique I agree, best na Wande [Coal],” Don Jazzy replied.
Wande Coal, who rose to fame under Don Jazzy’s now-defunct Mo’ Hits Records, is often celebrated for his vocal mastery and influence on the Afrobeats sound. His artistry has inspired a new generation of Nigerian singers, including Wizkid, Fireboy DML, and Oxlade.
