
Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed deep pride in her heritage, declaring she would choose to be Nigerian again if given another lifetime.
Cuppy made the statement on Wednesday while joining millions to mark the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the entertainer praised Nigerians for their resilience, perseverance, and unbreakable spirit, noting that citizens continue to find joy despite the nation’s challenges.
“My home, my country Nigeria is 65 today. Through it all, our people keep pushing, persevering, and finding joy even in the toughest times,” she wrote.
Cuppy added that Nigeria’s strength lies in its people, emphasizing that “God did not rush when He made us. He gave us resilience, spirit, and endless energy. In my next life, I’d still choose to be Nigerian.”
Her post drew wide reactions from fans and fellow celebrities who applauded the disc jockey’s patriotic message.
