Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has shared her reflections on marriage, describing it as a sacred and powerful institution.
Taking to her X account on Thursday, Cuppy said she considers marriage not just a partnership but a covenant made before God.
“Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign, with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
Cuppy explained that her younger sister Temi Otedola’s recent wedding to Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has strengthened her conviction about the institution of marriage.
“Seeing my baby sister Temi become Mrs Ajibade reminds me that marriage is far from outdated. With the right person, it pulls you closer to purpose and builds love, family, and legacy,” she added.
Her comments come shortly after Temi and Mr Eazi shared their official wedding photos. The couple tied the knot in three ceremonies across different countries.
The celebrations began on May 9, 2025, in Monaco—a date chosen to honor the late mother of Mr Eazi. In July, they held a traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola residence in Dubai. The festivities concluded in August with a white wedding in Iceland, where they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony.
The high-profile celebrations drew attention across social media, with fans and celebrities alike congratulating the couple.
