Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Faith Adewale has joined forces with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) to provide relief for families struggling with hunger and the rising cost of living.
The partnership is part of the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a community outreach effort designed to deliver essential food items and nutritional support to low-income households across Lagos.
Announcing the collaboration via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Lagos Food Bank praised Faith for using his fame to drive social impact.
“Big Brother changed his life; now he’s choosing to change the world,” the statement read. “Faith Adewale is not just using his voice, he’s using his platform to give back.”
Faith previously volunteered with LFBI’s #NUMEPlan, a project dedicated to feeding and treating malnourished children in underprivileged communities. Following that experience, he promised to return and expand his involvement, a commitment he fulfilled on October 15 by joining the TEFAP team at the organization’s warehouse to serve food to vulnerable families.
“This isn’t just an outreach; it’s a movement of love, hope, and action,” the statement added.
The Lagos Food Bank Initiative also revealed that it is working with five other non-governmental organizations to reduce food waste and strengthen food security nationwide.
“Nigeria faces a paradox of food surplus and widespread hunger,” the group noted. “Our mission is to bridge that gap so that no one goes hungry while food goes to waste.”
The organization’s current focus targets those most affected by economic hardship, including the elderly, people living with disabilities, and individuals battling diet-related illnesses.
Faith, who was disqualified from the reality show earlier this year, has since been vocal about his journey and lessons learned. He previously revealed taking a ₦5 million loan to participate in BBNaija, describing the experience as “transformational” and one that inspired his commitment to humanitarian causes.
Through this initiative, Faith joins a growing list of Nigerian celebrities using their platforms to champion community-driven solutions to hunger and poverty.
