
Nigerian comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, better known as DeeOne, is gearing up for an ambitious Guinness World Record attempt that could reshape comedy in the country.
The former reality TV star announced that his planned 40-hour stand-up comedy marathon will employ more than 700 people, spanning roles in production, catering, ushering, and security. He revealed the details in a video posted on Instagram, noting that around 90 staff members will handle production alone.
Scheduled for October 2–5 in Lagos, the event has already captured public attention and sparked excitement across the entertainment industry.
Fellow celebrities have rallied behind DeeOne’s bold project. Comedian Josh2funny called him “my favorite comedian,” while singer Teddy A cheered him on with a spirited “Let’s go!” Actress Tonto Dikeh also offered encouragement, assuring him: “Deeone, you can do this! I dey your back.”
