Afrobeats superstar Davido paid a courtesy visit to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House in Yola as part of his ongoing 5ive Alive Tour, a stop that spotlighted the state’s rising cultural and security profile.
Governor Fintiri described the artist’s visit as a validation of his administration’s progress in improving security and advancing urban renewal efforts.
“It was a pleasure to welcome the global star, Davido, to the Government House, Yola,” Fintiri said in a statement posted on X. “We are particularly glad he chose Adamawa as a key stop on his five-state tour. His presence underscores our progress and is a testament to our administration’s efforts toward enhancing security and advancing urban renewal.”
Following the visit, Davido headlined a sold-out concert at the 25,000-capacity Mahmud Ribadu Square, where he delivered what organizers described as one of the tour’s most energetic performances.
The show attracted thousands of fans and featured a surprise appearance by Sultana Farida Auduson Ibrahim, a local influencer and former Big Brother Naija housemate, who joined the crowd in celebrating the Grammy-nominated artist.
The Yola concert marks a major milestone in Davido’s 5ive Alive Tour, further cementing Adamawa’s reputation as an emerging hub for entertainment and large-scale cultural events in northern Nigeria.
