Afrobeats star Davido has reacted strongly to a viral video showing a violent bullying incident at Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.
The singer condemned the act on social media, describing the behaviour of the students involved as “disgusting” and calling the attackers “f#cking animals.”
Viral Video Sparks Outrage
The video circulating online shows two male students repeatedly beating and kicking another student while a third student records the assault.
The footage quickly triggered widespread outrage on social media, with many Nigerians demanding accountability from the school and authorities.
Davido was among the public figures who spoke out against the incident, expressing anger over the treatment of the victim.
School Takes Disciplinary Action
Following the backlash, Igbinedion Secondary School confirmed that the students who carried out the assault have been expelled.
The student who recorded the incident has also been suspended, according to the school’s disciplinary measures.
Police Begin Investigation
The Edo State Police Command has also condemned the attack and announced that an investigation is underway.
Authorities said individuals involved in the incident will face legal consequences in line with the law.
The case has renewed concerns about bullying in Nigerian schools, with many calling for stricter enforcement of policies to protect students from violence.
