Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about why his presence on social media has become less frequent.
The singer, who remains the most-followed African artist online, suggested that marriage has reshaped how he engages with fans. His remarks came in response to a post by a follower who voiced concern about his absence from X (formerly Twitter).
The fan wrote, “Davido never post for over 3 days now. I miss my idolo.”
Davido replied with humor: “When u marry u go understand.. lol.”
The comment comes just weeks after Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, held their white wedding ceremony in Miami, Florida, in August 2025.
On September 11, the couple celebrated their one-month wedding anniversary. Chioma marked the occasion by sharing a clip from their lavish wedding, expressing gratitude for the journey so far. Davido responded warmly, describing the ceremony as “the best day ever.”
Davido’s explanation has since sparked conversations online, with many fans relating to the shift in priorities that comes with married life.
