Grammy-nominated Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced that his much-anticipated ‘5IVE’ tour will make its way to Nigeria, marking a powerful homecoming for one of Africa’s biggest musical exports.
Following the massive success of the North American leg of the tour, Davido , born David Adeleke, revealed that bringing the show back to Nigeria holds special significance.
Taking to social media, the Unavailable crooner shared his excitement about performing for fans on home soil, calling the tour “for the culture.”
“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time… I’m bringing it HOME,” he wrote.
“After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right that we bring that energy back where it all began. This one’s personal. This one’s for US.”
The Nigerian leg of the ‘5IVE’ tour will kick off on October 26 in Akwa Ibom, followed by stops in Adamawa (October 29), Enugu (November 1), Ibadan (November 9), and a grand finale in Lagos on Christmas Day, December 25.
The tour is inspired by Davido’s fifth studio album, 5IVE, released in April 2025. The album features global collaborations with Odumodublvck, Becky G, and Shenseea, and has already racked up millions of streams across digital platforms.
Davido’s recent international run included a historic performance at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium alongside 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige, as well as sold-out concerts across North America, where he was joined by rising Nigerian acts Victony and Morravey.
The homecoming tour promises to merge high-energy performances, live instrumentation, and city-specific experiences, celebrating the cultural diversity of Nigeria, from the vibrant South-South rhythm of Akwa Ibom to the festive spirit of Lagos.
With Davido’s signature charisma and a powerful lineup of hits, the ‘5IVE’ Nigeria tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest music events of the year.
