British-Nigerian rapper Oluwafisayo Isa has unveiled her latest single, Solar, featuring Nigerian singer Ruger.
The track highlights Darkoo’s smooth vocals alongside Ruger’s distinctive style, creating a seamless fusion of Afrobeats and UK musical influences.
In Solar, Darkoo opens with affectionate lyrics while incorporating samples from Wande Coal’s hit “Pere” and 50 Cent’s classic “In Da Club,” giving the song a nostalgic yet modern feel. Ruger complements the track with playful verses, celebrating his partner’s charm and contributing to the song’s carefree vibe.
Darkoo, who initially gained fame in the drill rap scene, transitioned to singing with her 2019 breakout single Gangsta. Her work has earned her multiple MOBO Award nominations for Best Female Act and Best Newcomer.
Ruger, meanwhile, continues to build his musical empire with successful projects and the launch of his own label, Blown Boy Entertainment. Solar marks a high-profile collaboration that underscores both artists’ versatility and cross-genre appeal.
