The Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Africa is set to showcase the best of Nigerian innovation and entrepreneurship at a landmark Sales and Exhibition of Made-in-Nigeria Products in Dakar, Senegal.
Scheduled to take place from February 23rd to 27th, 2026, the five-day event will spotlight homegrown Nigerian goods and services, fostering regional trade, investment, and cultural exchange across West Africa.
The exhibition, organized under the auspices of NIDO Africa and led by its Continental Chairman, Professor Jude Osakwe, aims to strengthen economic ties between Nigeria and Senegal while promoting the “Buy Nigerian” initiative on an international stage. It will feature Nigerian companies across all sectors including fashion, agriculture, technology, cosmetics, food and beverages, crafts, and renewable energy.
“This exhibition is more than a marketplace, it’s a bold statement about the quality, creativity, and resilience of Nigerian-made products,” said Prof. Jude Osakwe. “We are bringing Nigeria’s economic potential to Senegal, one of our key regional partners, and opening doors for African businesses to thrive through intra-African trade.”
The event will include product demonstrations, business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking sessions, cultural performances, export opportunities, and diaspora investment in African industries. The theme for the exhibition, “Powering Africa’s Future: Made in Nigeria, Shared with the World,” underscores NIDO Africa’s vision of positioning Nigeria as a leading exporter of value-added goods on the continent.
The initiative aligns with the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), promoting local production and cross-border commerce. With Senegal serving as a strategic hub in Francophone West Africa, the location offers Nigerian entrepreneurs access to a broader regional market.
“The timing is perfect,” said Amb Folaji Adura, NIDO Africa’s Public Relations Officer. “As AfCFTA continues to dismantle trade barriers, events like this empower Nigerian businesses to reach new customers and form long-term partnerships beyond our borders.”
Preparations are in full swing, with Nigerian exporters undergoing training on export compliance, packaging standards, and cross-cultural marketing.
In addition to commercial outcomes, the exhibition will strengthen diaspora engagement, with thousands of Nigerians living in Senegal and neighbouring countries expected to attend.
As the countdown to February 2026 begins, all eyes are on Dakar, where Nigerian excellence will take center stage, not just as a display of products, but as a powerful testament to African innovation, unity, and economic transformation.
