Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has ignited conversation online after revealing that he would not allow his 16-year-old daughter to keep a pregnancy.
The controversial broadcaster made the statement during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted with Zinnie Posh.
When asked how he would react if his teenage daughter became pregnant, Freeze said his first instinct would be to find out who was responsible. He added that the next step would be to ensure the pregnancy was terminated.
“At such a young age, it would be unfair for my daughter to take on the responsibility of raising a child,” he said.
“For me, a mistake at such a young age shouldn’t be compounded by raising a child while still a teenager.”
While stressing that keeping the baby would only “compound the mistake,” Freeze clarified that he would ultimately respect his daughter’s choice if she insisted on continuing with the pregnancy.
However, in a remark that drew further attention, he added, “After what I do to her, she won’t even want to keep it.”
The comments have stirred debate on social media, with many weighing in on issues of parenting, morality, and the broader implications of teenage pregnancy in Nigeria.
