Media personality Daddy Freeze has defended actress Nkechi Blessing after a gym photo of her went viral, drawing ridicule online.
Freeze condemned the incident, faulting the gym for allowing such a breach of privacy. He described the situation as an “embarrassment” and urged the release of CCTV footage to reveal the individual responsible for taking and sharing the image.
“Nigerian gyms, this is an embarrassment. How can someone take a picture of your client and post it to mock them online? We need to see the CCTV so we can see the person who took this picture. If not, your gym is useless. You didn’t protect the privacy of your client. This is unfair, and they are trolling her online. This is wrong,” he said in a video.
The Nation earlier reported that Nkechi Blessing had lashed out after the picture surfaced, questioning how critics expected her to appear after a long day at the gym.
She wrote on Instagram that the person behind the act would face divine consequences, warning that every health issue she was working on at the gym would be transferred to them and their lineage.
“Dear whoever took that picture, I have a question. How do you feel now? I am curious to know. Like I said, I have handed you over to God… Every single health-related issue in my body will be transferred to you and your generation yet unborn, only if there is no God,” she wrote.
The actress concluded that one cannot disgrace a woman “clothed with grace,” while leaving the matter in God’s hands.
