Socialite Cubana Chief Priest has come to the defence of TikToker Peller following his unsuccessful attempt to meet global streamer iShowSpeed during the latter’s recent visit to Lagos.
iShowSpeed arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday to mark his 21st birthday, drawing massive attention online and offline. While Peller was unable to secure a meeting with the streamer, his repeated attempts quickly became a trending topic across social media platforms.
Reacting via Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest praised Peller’s determination and criticised what he described as a culture of tearing down people who dare to chase big dreams. He applauded the TikToker’s boldness, saying his willingness to push forward without shame is a key factor behind his growing popularity.
According to Chief Priest, there is no disgrace in persistence, especially in the entertainment and streaming space where rejection is common. He argued that Peller’s actions, rather than making him look desperate, have instead amplified his visibility.
The socialite also suggested that iShowSpeed’s failure to meet Peller may not have been a personal snub. He hinted that the situation could have been influenced by management decisions, noting that deliberate distance can sometimes be strategic.
Emphasising the nature of streaming culture, Chief Priest described it as a space that rewards fearlessness and consistency. He added that even top streamers like iShowSpeed experience rejection, making Peller’s situation far from unusual.
He concluded by encouraging the TikToker to keep pushing, stressing that rejection is part of the journey to the top and that hunger and resilience are what sustain long-term success.
