Socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest has publicly stated that he will not support Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election.
The declaration came during an exchange with followers on Instagram, where a user asked him directly if he was working against the former Labour Party presidential candidate.
Responding to the comment, Chief Priest confirmed his position. “Yes oh, hope say no be crime cuz I worked for Obi last election even as special adviser to an APC governor,” he wrote.
The socialite referenced his involvement in Obi’s previous campaign as part of the reason for his current political stance.
His remarks quickly generated reactions online. One user mentioned his past encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), prompting Chief Priest to respond, “If you never go EFCC for naija you never make am.”
The discussion expanded to issues surrounding political support in the South-East and the Biafra movement. In response to one commenter, he urged individuals to back their preferred candidates while questioning what tangible contributions had been made toward development in the region.
“Go and support who you want to support. As you like Biafra reach, how many developments you don do for South East?” he wrote.
