Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has shared his frustrations with the healthcare system in Nigeria following a recent check-up.
In an Instagram story, the club owner revealed that he had been unwell and decided to visit a hospital in Ikoyi, where he has been a long-time patient. However, he said the experience left him disappointed.
“Honestly, health care is a joke in this country. Walked into a hospital I have been using in Ikoyi for years, sick. After vitals, it’s over an hour plus & no doctor is available,” he wrote.
Cubana Chief Priest said he later tried another facility in Lekki but faced lengthy online forms and more delays. Frustrated, he abandoned the planned medical tests and only collected medication for typhoid and malaria.
“Well, I don go med plus go buy medication for typhoid and malaria. If I reach UK, make I do proper health care there. It’s a shame sha, na God dey save person for this country,” he added.
The incident has reignited discussions about the challenges in Nigerian healthcare, with fans and followers echoing his concerns over service quality and accessibility.
