Popular socialite and entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest has admitted that his decision not to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the last general election was an error.
The businessman made the remark while speaking at a political gathering in Imo State, where he revealed that he has now decided to align with the federal government rather than remain in opposition.
According to him, his initial political position during the election period was influenced by regional sentiments, which he now believes was a misjudgment.
Reflecting on the decision, Cubana Chief Priest said he had come to realise that supporting the current administration would be more beneficial moving forward.
During his remarks, he expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, stating that the president is already working and will complete his agenda.
The socialite also credited Seyi Tinubu for helping him better understand the president and his vision.
He further praised Hope Uzodimma, noting that the governor’s strong relationship with the federal government has contributed to development in the state.
According to him, years of political confrontation had not produced the expected results, which led to a change in strategy.
He said the new approach is to collaborate with the government at the center rather than continue political battles.
Cubana Chief Priest also predicted that the growing support around Tinubu could develop into one of the largest political movements in the country.
He concluded by encouraging Nigerians to work together with the current administration and offered prayers for the president’s success in office.
