Crystal Palace are reportedly preparing to cut short Christantus Uche’s loan spell when the January transfer window opens.
Uche joined Palace in the summer on loan from Spanish side Getafe, with the deal containing a €20 million obligatory purchase clause—activated only if the Nigeria international makes 10 starting appearances this season.
However, the 22-year-old is yet to start a Premier League match under manager Oliver Glasner, making only three league appearances, all as a substitute.
Spanish reports indicate that Palace are now exploring the option of returning the midfielder to Getafe in January.
Uche was impressive for the La Liga side last season, scoring four goals and providing six assists in 33 league games.
