Crown FC technical adviser, Ayodeji Ayeni, has urged his players to step up as they prepare for the challenges of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Ajilete Warriors resumed training on Monday, with Ayeni making it clear that no player is guaranteed a starting place in the team.
“Any retained player who feels too big or assumes automatic selection is only deceiving himself. Everyone must prove their worth to be part of the team’s plans,” Ayeni told the squad.
Crown FC missed out on promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season after finishing bottom of their group in the NNL playoffs.
