Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he no longer keeps track of how many cars he owns, estimating his collection to be around 40 or 41 luxury vehicles.
In a recent interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, the Al-Nassr forward admitted that while he still enjoys collecting cars, his outlook on luxury spending has evolved.
“I don’t go shopping. If I go anywhere, I can buy whatever I want, but I don’t need that anymore,” Ronaldo said. “Okay, let’s say three days ago I bought a car, but it’s for collection. It’s like you buy a frame. I’m not going to drive that car. It’s like an investment.”
The 40-year-old football icon, who has achieved billionaire status through his successful career and endorsements, explained that his car purchases are now treated as long-term investments rather than indulgent splurges.
When asked to estimate the number of vehicles he owns, Ronaldo laughed and replied, “Honestly, if you have to bet, I’d say I don’t know. Forty-one, forty, I don’t know. I swear, I swear for my kids.”
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, known for his impressive garage featuring brands like Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, said his priorities have shifted over the years.
Ronaldo shared that he now places greater value on family, peace of mind, and purposeful living than on material possessions.
The interview offered fans a glimpse into a more reflective side of the footballer, whose success on and off the pitch has made him one of the most recognizable and influential athletes in the world.
