Popular media personality Chude Jideonwo has stirred conversation after claiming that a significant number of married individuals in Lagos are gay.
The remark came during a recent appearance on The Clarity Zone Podcast, where Chude also addressed speculation about his own sexual orientation following an interview with TVC.
Reaction to Rumours
Responding to the rumours, Chude said, “When the TVC interview came out, people were saying maybe I’m gay. I’m like Lagos is full of married gay people,” highlighting the private realities he observes in society.
Warning About Ritual Advertisements
In the same conversation, he raised concerns over ritual advertisements proliferating on social media platforms like TikTok.
“Abi them say people are advertising rituals on TikTok. Ritual is advertised on TikTok. Native medicine, I have seen three people advertising, and people were engaging. One of the women was live from her shrine. And people were like, ‘Mama, how can I reach you?’ with a phone number,” he recounted.
Chude’s comments point to broader societal issues, including the hidden lives of some individuals and the rising public engagement with spiritual and ritualistic services online.
His statements have since sparked discussions across social media, drawing both support and criticism from followers regarding personal privacy, morality, and social media content regulation.
