A Chinese national captured on video assaulting a Kenyan factory worker has been dismissed, the employer, TCM Roofing Mabati Supplies, has confirmed.
The Central Organization of Trade Unions (Cotu) had earlier demanded the immediate deportation of the assailant. In a letter to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Cotu highlighted the rising cases of rogue foreign employers harassing Kenyan workers, terming the trend a violation of their rights and dignity.
