Nollywood actress Chika Ike celebrated her 40th birthday in a way that touched lives, empowering 40 less privileged women through her “Chika 40 Smiles” initiative.
The milestone celebration, which combined laughter, tears, prayers, and dancing, was described by the actress as “more meaningful than any previous birthday.”
“When I thought about celebrating my 40th birthday, so many ideas came to mind. But this time, I wanted something more than lavish,” Chika wrote. “I wanted it to be memorable and impactful.”
Inspired by her mother and her own journey as a parent, Chika highlighted the importance of giving back.
“The theme was Chika 40 Smiles because I wanted to empower 40 women and make them smile. As a mom in a new season of life, celebrating in a way that reflects that was essential,” she added.

“We laughed, cried, prayed, danced, and celebrated together. This was the best birthday I’ve ever had because it meant so much more,” Chika said.

“It was inspired by my mum, by all that she gave and sacrificed for me. Now that I’m a mum myself, I can deeply relate,” she said.
