Nigeria’s national team head coach, Eric Chelle, has officially named a 23-player contingency for the Super Eagles’ upcoming international exhibition matches against Iran and Jordan. The selection features a strategic blend of established veterans and fresh faces as the three-time African champions prepare for a dual-test series in Antalya, Turkey. Leading the charge are mainstay figures including captain Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman, alongside familiar defensive and attacking options such as Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, and Moses Simon.
The roster announcement is highlighted by the inclusion of three potential debutants: Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez, alongside forwards Philip Otele and Yira Collins Sor, all of whom have earned their maiden call-ups following impressive club form. Additionally, the goalkeeping department sees the return of Maduka Okoye and Adebayo Adeleye, both of whom missed the cut for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations but have now fought their way back into Chelle’s tactical plans.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Iran on Friday, March 27, with a 4:00 PM local kickoff, followed by a clash against Jordan on Tuesday, March 31, at 8:00 PM.
