Veteran entertainer and activist Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has shared a humorous yet touching account of how Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, once surprised him with a visit.
In a post on his X handle, Charly Boy revealed that around 1 a.m., he received a call from Obi saying he planned to stop by his home at 5 a.m. Despite the unusual timing, the entertainer agreed.
To his surprise, Obi arrived carrying a large ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag. Expecting something weighty, Charly Boy said he was stunned when the bag turned out to be filled not with money, but with fruits and traditional snacks.
